Specialization

Once you have been included in the BIG-register, you are entitled to specialize. Five professions have accredited specialisms: pharmacists, doctors, health care psychologists, dentists and nurses.

Officially accredited specialisms
The information in the specialist registers is not drawn from the BIG-register but is provided by the Specialists Registration Commissions (SRCs) which are part of the professional associations. If your name appears on a specialist register, the BIG-register will be notified accordingly and your specialism will be noted in the register.
