Processing time

The BIG-register applies strict guidelines with regard to the maximum time allowed for processing an application. In the majority of cases, a decision is made within a few weeks. However, your application may be subject to delay if you do not provide all required information.

Application for inclusion in the BIG-register

If you have provided all information in the required manner, we undertake to process your application within eight weeks. In practice, the procedure is usually completed within four to five workdays.
Please check that you have supplied all requested information before submitting your application. If you have not supplied a required document (in the required format), we shall contact you and request you to submit the document in the prescribed manner. (This could be the case if, for example, a document has not been correctly validated). The processing period is then suspended. Only when we receive the correct information in the correct format will the processing period resume.
